Stancombe Park is a private garden, rarely open to the public. On selected Open Days, visitors are invited to explore this unique Regency landscape, set within a secluded valley in the Gloucestershire countryside.

Created in the early 19th century, the garden is designed as a journey rather than a single view. Winding paths lead through woodland and down to a series of lakes, with tunnels, grottos and classical features revealed along the way.
It’s a place best explored at an unhurried pace, with plenty to discover as the garden unfolds.

Today, Stancombe remains very much a lived-in place, valued for its atmosphere, history and sense of privacy.
Open Days offer the chance to wander the main routes of the garden, take in the lakes and follies, and enjoy a setting that feels both intimate and quietly dramatic.
